Art 3600 – Photography II – Digital Imaging is an intermediate photography course integrating traditional and digital methods. Taught in both the digital and photography labs, this course is designed to build upon traditional methods of photographic image making and output. During the course, students will use traditional film in combination with digital photography. They will learn to scan both negatives and prints for manipulation in digital programs such as Adobe Photoshop creating web, CD-R, and digital output presentation with Macromedia Dreamweaver  and Flash. Web learning will be mandatory with all relevant information pertaining to the course accessed through this site, with communication and presentation also existing in the digital realm. Additionally, we will be concerning ourselves with the implications of digital technology in today’s changing world and its relationship to the photographic image.
