Art 3600 – Photography II – is an intermediate course designed to further explore the fundamentals of photographic technique. Concentrating primarily on traditional Black & White processes, we will also explore a variety of expressive devises contributing to the aesthetic development of a photographic project. The emphasis will be on the development of the student's self-expression.

Objectives will be to: use a variety of compositional asssignments to explore photographic ways of seeing or propose a semester long project; either track will culminate in a final semester project. We will explore printing techniques, printing on fiber based paper and exploring alternative techniques. We will investigate historical and contemporary practices, including readings on photo theory.
